A total of 130 golfers participated in this year’s Piper Classic, held on Saturday, June 23 at the Milby Golf Club.
The winning team with players Joey Sabo, Grant Simeon, Scott Loach and Marty Rourke shot 57 (16 under par) in the ‘best ball’ tournament.
Held each year in honor of John Haller, a Galt teacher who passed away in 2007, the Piper Classic is the Galt athletics department’s biggest fundraiser. The funds amassed go towards maintenance of the department, new equipment and uniforms, banquets and awards for the student athletes and financial assistance for students in need.
