Lewis Gendron scored two goals, including the game-winner, in the Magog Cantonniers’s 3-2 win over the Levis Chevaliers on Tuesday night.
With his ninth goal of the series at 8:00 of the third period, he gave the Cantonniers a 2-1 lead in the 4-of-7 Quebec U18 AAA Hockey League final.
Gendron had given the winners a 1-0 lead at 8:29 of the first period.
Shortly after that goal, the Cantonniers players excelled on a two-player power play for the Chevaliers.
For 1:46, in the second half of the first period, the players sent onto the ice by coach Stéphane Robidas were very efficient, which pleased the 1,134 loud spectators gathered at the Magog arena.
