Orford Musique has unveiled the programming for its 2022 festival, which will be held this summer from June 9 to Aug. 12. In addition to the traditional free concerts for the whole family, visual arts exhibitions and the sixth edition of the prestigious Orford Music Award, eleven major concerts will also take place, presenting talented artists in classical and jazz music.
“This year, the work and inspiration of the great German composer Johannes Brahms will be featured. His music offers us both continuity and renewal. Orford Music is driven by the same passion, that of passing the torch from one generation to the next while constantly seeking new and exciting interpretations,” explained Wonny Song, General and Artistic Director of Orford Music in a press release. “Brahms was a great fan of the outdoors and was greatly inspired by the forests and bucolic landscapes that surrounded him. We hope that music lovers will find this same inspiration in the heart of the beautiful Orford forest,” Song added.
Several concerts as well as visual arts exhibitions will be inspired by the great composer.
