By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – For the third year in a row, the Bell Let’s Talk (BLT) initiative has partnered with Bishop’s University and the Gaiters to help spread awareness about mental health and to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illnesses. On Saturday, Jan. 26, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the women and men’s basketball teams will inaugurate the 2019 edition of the Bishop’s Mental Health and Wellness Week and BLT.
Bishop’s University’s Mental Health and Wellness Week will be held from Jan. 26 to February 1, 2019. The initiative offers the Bishop’s community a variety of events, workshops, and activities to help increase awareness about mental health. Each day will have its own focus, such as sexuality, self-care, and wellness. See full story in the Tuesday, Jan. 22 edition of The Record.
