Although there were no championship banners or first-place medals handed out at the end, the Alexander Galt Regional High School Pipers senior hockey team picked up a major confidence boosting victory at the school’s 52nd annual hockey showcase.
The Pipers were the clear-cut top team at the showcase, which took place last weekend. They finished with a perfect 4-0 record, scoring 12 goals, only conceding 3 goals against, and posting two shutouts in that short four-game stretch.
Alexander Galt came out flying in their first game of the showcase against Bromptonville. They defeated their opponents 4-0, but what made the day even more special was playing in front of a large crowd of supporters at the Bishop’s University hockey arena.
