After roughly four years, the gymnasium beautification project at Alexander Galt Regional High School, which includes a fresh paint job, new basketball rims and bleachers, is nearly completed.
Robbie Fisk, the school’s athletic director, added the finishing touches on a more vibrant looking gym. Fisk, alongside hockey and soccer coach Dave Beaulieu, adorned the sports facility with hundreds of finalist and championship banners.
There were 486 banners that we put up on the walls as they were not there before; they were in a pile basically,” said Fisk. “I had delayed putting them up because I knew we were renovating our gym.”
The school invested in a full-blown gym makeover, thanks to government support, and added several amenities. There are new boys and girls locker rooms, a referee room and a laundry room. The only thing left to finish is Fisk’s office and the public bathroom.
