Members of the Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans in Canada, ANAF Unit #318, have finalized their schedule for the upcoming Armistice Day commemorations. These events are open to the public, offering an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of our veterans alongside ANAF members.
Sunday, Nov. 5
The series of remembrances will commence with a service at the Lennoxville Cenotaph at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch at ANAF Unit #318’s building, the Hut. Later in the afternoon, at 3 p.m., a second service is scheduled at the North Hatley Cenotaph. Attendees can then enjoy a light meal at the North Hatley Legion.
Friday, Nov. 10
For those wishing to participate in the entire day’s events, cars will be departing from the Hut at 9:30 a.m. The day will include a service in Sawyerville at 11 a.m., followed by additional services in East Clifton, Cookshire, and Island Brook. After the Sawyerville service, participants are invited to a light luncheon in the same community.
Saturday, Nov. 11
On Armistice Day, cars will leave the Hut at 9 a.m., with a service to be held in Scotstown at 10:30 a.m. A light lunch will be available after this service. The final service of the commemoration will take place in Bury at 2 p.m. The day will conclude with an Armistice Supper hosted at the Hut at 6 p.m.
ANAF Unit #318 extends a warm invitation to all community members to join in these events to pay respects to those who have served and to engage in community fellowship.
