Record head pressman Serge Gagnon was hard at work on Tuesday repairing the computer-to-press machine, which broke down on Monday evening, rendering us unable to print Tuesday’s paper. The new power supple arrived safely from out west, and within a few hours of work was installed and up and running again.
They say bad things happen in threes, so after two print failures and a painful front page typo, all within the first three weeks of the new year, we should, let’s hope, be in the clear for at least a few months before the next hurdle.
Many thanks to subscribers for their understanding.
