By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – The Bishop’s Gaiters played their last game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Montreal against the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). While the women’s team could not hold off the Citadins after the first quarter and lost 70-57, the men’s team snuck by their opponents to win 83-81, their fourth consecutive victory. Although the Bishop’s men’s team had already secured a spot in the playoffs regardless of the game’s outcome, they still gave it their all. They were led by Yassin Naji, with 21 points, and Abdul Kamane, with 20 points. Kamane incidentally brought the Gaiters to victory with a two-point shot with 22 seconds left to the game.
