Cycle of giving and receiving continues at 43rd MVHS awards

The annual Massey-Vanier High School Scholarship and Bursary Fund Awards night is a reminder of the level of support shown to students by the community. On Wednesday night, 54 promising students from MVHS received over 130 scholarships, bursaries, prizes and awards. Among them were several memorial scholarships in the name of distinguished past graduates, some of whom accomplished great things while others showed tremendous promise but died too soon. Local businesses and community organizations also showed their support through donations, as did towns and municipalities through a number of bursaries.
