It was an intense week for young local curlers representing Quebec at the national U21 curling championships taking place in Langley, BC. Both the men’s and women’s team include members from the Townships.
Meaghan Rivett of Huntingville is part of Équipe Gauthier. “It’s going well,” Rivett told The Record via text message. “We have a record of 3-3 and are about to start the championship pool this evening,” she explained in a brief interview yesterday. “We are just trying to focus on one game at a time and do our best all while having fun,” she commented. The week started out with teams from each province/territory divided into two pools. The top four teams from each pool graduate to the championship pool for a shot at the title.
