According to the Richmond County Historical Society (RCHS), the virtual book launch of Murder on the Orford Mountain Railway, By Nick Fonda, was a success and sold out. The RCHS thanked supporters and Nick Fonda, who was generous enough to donate a portion of each book sale made by RCHS to the muesum.
Copies of Fonda’s book are still available at Papeterie 2000, Black Cat Books (among other selected bookstores) and on Amazon.
Those who purchased copies from RCHS had a chance to win an oil painting – the very same oil painting used for the front cover of Murder on the Orford Mountain Railway.
Robin Philpot of Baraka Books donated the prize, which was painted by local artist Beatrice Multhaupt. The lucky winner, Tim Mason, was presented with the painting on Sunday, March 7 at the RCHS museum in Melbourne, by RCHS vice-president Donna Noel-Hodge and author Nick Fonda.
