Sunday marked the first day of a new program in the Province of Quebec where admission to participating museums is free on the first Sunday of every month. Announced as part of the provincial budget in March, program has $5 million committed over the course of five years to support any museum that will open its doors free of charge in order to help improve the population’s access to resources of culture and history.
