Dismayed by the way the Legault government is addressing the labour shortage affecting the health network, the Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS) is suspending its consultation process with its members on the renewal of the collective agreement pending an emergency meeting with Premier François Legault and Treasury Board President Sonia LeBel.
“We asked for this last chance meeting to find a way forward so that all APTS members can obtain the working conditions necessary to attract and retain them in the public network,” Danny Roulx, APTS representative for the Eastern Townships region said in a press release.
