Two crime scenes are under investigation following the discovery of the body on Thursday morning in Sherbrooke. According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Héloïse Cossette, the call first came in to the Sherbrooke Police Service at around 8:30 a.m. when the body of a male was found at Sherbrooke business Ovation Logistique on Pépin Street. By noon, Cossette said that based on the evidence, the death was deemed a homicide and the investigation was transferred to the SQ. A second location, L'Hôtellerie Jardins de Ville on Boulevard Bourque, is also under investigation in connection with the homicide, Cossette said. “Both scenes are being looked at,” she said, unable to confirm what happened at each location. “We are still analyzing the scenes,” Cossette said, adding that witnesses are also being interviewed. The current investigation represents the third homicide in Sherbrooke within the last six months. Published in the Friday, May 18th edition of The Record.
