The Sherbrooke Hussars and the 52e Ambulance de Campagne army reserve units will be holding an open house this Saturday, April 7, at the Galeries Quatre Saisons shopping mall on 13th Avenue North in Sherbrooke. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. reservists will be on site with vehicles and equipment offering workshops and information on their areas of expertise to the general public. According to Lieutenant Jean-François Wehrung, the public affairs representative for the Hussars, this open house is being held at the mall as part of an effort to be more accessible. “We want to move closer to the community,” Wehrung said, noting that the unit’s armoury, located between William and Winter Streets in Sherbrooke’s north end, is not in a very high-traffic area.
