By Steve Blake – Autumn is a time to harvest, and that is what the students, teachers, and volunteers at the Knowlton Academy garden have begun to do. The school hosted a harvest festival on a cold, wet day in early October.
The students and coordinators of the garden project are pleased with the yield from this year’s garden, and the donations of fruits and vegetables. This was the second year of the garden project in which the students learn about the food they eat and how to grow it. And they are finding that fresh vegetables are delicious.
