For over three decades now, the Lennoxville Jean-Coutu has been hosting a St. Patrick’s party each year in the Queen Street pharmacy which serves as a fundraiser for local charities.
This year, the recipients of the funds from the green gathering will go to Operation Backpack, a local initiative to prepare students with the supplies they will need to start the school year off on the right foot.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, community members were invited to stop by Jean-Coutu for coffee and snacks, and listen to some festive music from a variety of performers. There was just enough room in front of the local musicians for dancing, a must for certain St. Patrick’s party goers.
