Remembrance Day ceremony held in Lennoxville, more to come around TownshipsBy William Crooks
Lennoxville held its Remembrance Day ceremony on the crisp Sunday morning of Nov. 5. A short parade, accompanied by a sole bagpiper, prefaced the event, wherein wreaths were laid by local politicians, military, and community leaders to commemorate members of our armed forces that died in the line of duty. Well over 100 attended the solemn and significant occasion.
Another ceremony was held at 3 p.m. the same day in North Hatley. Ceremonies will be held in Sawyerville, East Clifton, Cookshire, and Island Brook Nov. 10, and Scotstown and Bury Nov. 11.
