Organizers for the upcoming Knowlton Literary Festival between October 17 and19 are thrilled to learn that two of the eight extraordinary authors have recently been shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Awards. Canada Council for the Arts announced last week that retired CBC journalist David Halton is among five in contention for the non-fiction category, while similarly, Helen Humphreys is lined up with four other fiction writers.
