When Mark Middleton decided to When Mark Middleton decided to ‘round up’ some of his old childhood friends to hang out this summer, he imagined a small get-together of 20 or 30 people in his parents’ back yard. Little did he know his ‘small get-together’ would evolve into a huge reunion reconnecting an entire community of Stanstead past. “I grew up in Stanstead in the 60s and 70s,” said Middleton. “I went to Galt for high school and like a lot of others, I guess, I moved away in the early 80s.” “I live on Vancouver Island now, but my parents still live in Stanstead. I went to visit them 5 or 6 years ago with my wife and we went to a museum. There was a guestbook there with a name I recognized. I had gone to high school with him and I realized that almost all of us go back to the community at times during the summer, we just never know who’s there and when.
