After a disappointing performance in the Drummondville bubble, the Sherbrooke Phoenix have found their footing for the first time in the pandemic-shortened Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) regular season.
The Phoenix struggled to find consistent offence in Drummondville, notching 11 goals for and conceding 28 goals against in a six-game stretch. But they appear to have hit their stride in the four-game Shawinigan bubble, much to the pleasure of head coach Stephane Julien.
“We compete, we do the right thing, obviously we’re not going to win all the games, but it matters more with a young team the way you prepare, the way you want to play and that’s what we saw from day one here in Shawinigan,” said Julien.
