Riding high after a record attendance of 8,000 last year, the organizing committee for Sherbrooke’s Canada Day celebrations is looking forward to what they hope will be another big year in 2018. Returning to what has been a successful formula for the last five years, the organizers announced programming on Tuesday meant to appeal to community members from all walks of life. According to Francis Demers , the day’s artistic director, the activities at Jacques-Cartier Park will begin at noon with the opening of the gourmet and family zones and the distribution of 1,500 free hot dogs.
