At the Brome Lake regular monthly council meeting held at Centre Lac-Brome Oct. 5, Mayor Richard Burcombe confirmed that the town will not sell the old municipal garage land on Mont Echo Road, in Knowlton, once it has been decontaminated.
“The land will remain town property and not be sold,” said Burcombe, adding that the public market would be moving from Maple Street and there would be a community public garden at the old garage site.
