The thirteenth edition of the Subaru Sherbrooke Futures tennis tournament is underway at Rock Forest Recreation Center, 5265 de Gaspe Street in Rock Forest. Matches are played in three sessions daily, with the finals to be on Sunday afternoon. This is the unique annual opportunity for Sherbrooke tennis fans to see up and coming stars in action. Thirty-two young pro players from around the world are vying for the winner’s share of the $25,000.00 purse. Previous winners include top Canadians Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospsil, Frederic Niemeyer, rising Quebec star Felix Auger Aliassime and U.S. prospect Stephan Koslov, all of whom are or have been ranked in the top 125 in the world on the ATP Tour, where tennis great Roger Federer holds the number one ranking.
