Students in the Retail Butchery program at the Centre de formation professionnelle 24-Juin in downtown Sherbrooke broke the provincial record for longest meat rosette on Wednesday.
The students put together an overwhelming display measuring roughly 120 feet. The meat rosette ran the length of each wall in the room. According to Apeichai Srihanu and Christopher Hafford, two retail butchery students, it took a lot of effort to complete the task.
“Well, it does take a lot of work because we had to slice out all of the beef,” said Hafford. “We had to trim off the original piece, we had to cut all of the peppers and onions, and we had to do this all in a three-day period.”
