The 52nd annual Sherbrooke Winter Carnival took place this past weekend, drawing people young and old out to take part in a range of different seasonal activities in Jacques Cartier Park along the shore of Lac des Nations. Unlike in years past, where activities were divided between several different sites, this year saw everything organized in a single location to help concentrate interest in the event. Carnival President Sylvie Luce Bergeron said in the lead up to this year’s events that one of the greatest challenges of the festival from one year to the next is making sure to appeal to fans of the event while also making sure there is something new.
